Karin became a speech pathologist when her daughter developed a lisp, and after multiple speech pathology appointments, found an interest and a career that would see her grow as an individual and professional to help others to achieve and develop their full potential.

Karin has always made it a priority to ensure that a high standard of service is delivered, based on evidence-based practices that are researched and set by the industry. She is passionate about achieving client goals to maximise communication at home, with peers and in the community.

Karin has a number of areas of interest in paediatric speech pathology. Karin has worked in a leading hospital delivering a feeding clinic; a community health setting as a generalist speech pathologist in speech sound development, language development, fluency, literacy, voice and feeding; school settings and in private speech pathology clinics. Karin has a personal area of interest
in “Childhood Apraxia of Speech” and enjoys working with complex clients with disabilities.

Karin’s adult career includes working in Rehabilitation Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Residential Care Facilities whereby a high standard of care was provided to those suffering from Disabilities, Stroke, Degenerative diseases, Parkinson’s Disease, Communications Deficits (including some AAC) and Swallowing.

Professional Development is a priority within our business to ensure that we are up to date with practices, policies and procedures. This is demonstrated by Karin sharing her knowledge and skills as a Clinical Educator with staff, university students and peers in her industry.
