Online (Telepractice) Speech Pathology Service 

What is Telepractice?​

Port Stephens Speech Pathology offers online speech pathology services, this is commonly known as telepractice (or telehealth). Our speech pathologists are experienced in conducting assessments and evidenced based intervention online, using platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Telepractice sessions are just like face-to-face sessions, except they can be done at a time and place convenient for you, such as at home, or when travelling.  We work directly with our clients to meet communication goals just as we would in a face-to-face session. 

​

The Benefits of telepractice services include: 

• no travel time. 

• access assessment/ intervention from areas with minimal or no speech pathology services.

• interactive and engaging sessions to help maintain attention and focus.

• intervention can occur in your natural home environment. 

• demonstration of how we use the resources you have in your home environment to assist in meeting your intervention goals. 
   

What do I need for a telepractice appointment?

You will need an internet connection and tablet or laptop with a webcam.
