Erin McKay

Senior Speech Pathologist

Erin is a Senior Speech Pathologist at Port Stephens Speech Pathology. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2004 and has worked in various settings providing paediatric and adult speech therapy.

Erin has joined the team on a part-time basis after returning to work from parental leave. She has also recently returned to the East Coast, having worked in the Pilbara Region of Western Australia for several years.

Erin’s clinical interests include early intervention, speech sound difficulties and literacy. Above all, Erin is passionate about helping clients to set meaningful and achievable speech therapy goals by applying them to the settings where we live, work and play! Erin has recently completed her Master of Public Health, specialising in Primary Health Care through the University of New South Wales. This study has changed her thoughts about the way we provide speech therapy services.

Erin understands that speech therapy is often a winding and unpredictable journey that we embark upon with our clients.... it’s not a destination!  Over her years as a speech pathologist, Erin has participated in extensive professional development. She brings this knowledge to the table when collaborating and problem solving with families, teachers and other professionals involved in your care.

Erin spent many family holidays visiting her grandparents in Lemon Tree Passage and can’t wait to explore the Port Stephens Area with her active and curious young family.
