How can our clinicians support you?

Our clinicians are trained in the management of communication and swallowing difficulties for individuals with conditions including: 

• Conditions following an injury to the brain such as stroke, or traumatic brain injury. (Conditions may include: dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), acquired apraxia of speech, and dysarthria) 

• Chronic conditions 

• Parkinson's Disease 

• Huntington's Disease

• Degenerative diseases 

• Individuals with a disability

Our Speech Pathologists Tegan Ison and Karin McIntyre are both certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) clinicians. "LSVT Loud is a behavioural program designed to create sustained improvement in speech and voice function. It's an evidence-based treatment that helps patients with speech problems increase their vocal loudness and ability to be understood".
